Mason Estep

Mason has experience eating food his entire life, and has spent his career developing food and beverage products and companies. He founded a beverage company which produced 25,000 units while attending Ohio University. In January 2017, he founded a funded venture to develop technologies for restaurant chains in the barbecue and pizza industries. The company was acquired in May 2019 and Platter was spun-off. With it Mason and team dedicated themselves to smart sensors and food safety for the betterment of man.


Joel Forwalder

Business Development

Joel has experience in consulting startups for rapid growth, financial modeling, and strategic partnerships. After serving as President of Buckeye Coastal Connections, he moved to New York to work on Wall Street as a business and assets analyst.

Bob Grote

Board Member

Bob is CEO of Grote Company and spends his time developing industry partners and seeking the latest food technologies. He currently serves as Director at Large of the FPSA and Chairman of the MISA Foundation.


Jim Grote

Board Member

Jim founded Donatos Pizza in 1963 in Columbus, Ohio. He founded The JE Grote Company in 1972, which manufactures food processing equipment globally. Jim is working with the robot Sophia of Hanson robotics to instill unconditional love into artificial intelligence, countering the apocalyptic predictions surrounding AI.
